This page sets out what we supply, who we supply it to, and what you are agreeing to when you place an order. It is written to be read rather than scrolled past, because the position it describes is not negotiable.

What research use only means

Every product listed on this site is supplied as a laboratory reagent for in vitro research. None of it is a medicine. None of it is licensed for human or veterinary use. None of it is manufactured, packaged or labelled for administration to a person or an animal, and none of it should be used that way.

This is not a disclaimer attached to a product that is really intended for something else. It is a description of what these compounds are.

What you agree to at checkout

Before an order can be completed you confirm that the products are for laboratory research use only and will not be used for human or veterinary consumption. That confirmation is required. An order cannot be placed without it, and it is recorded against your order with a timestamp.

Who we supply

We supply laboratories, universities, research institutions and individuals conducting bona fide in vitro research.

What we will not supply

We do not supply anyone who tells us, or gives us reason to believe, that a compound is intended for human or veterinary use. We do not provide dosing guidance, administration guidance, or advice on use in a person, because there is no such thing as correct guidance for something that should not be happening.

We do not supply where a compound is subject to a control that would make the order unlawful in your jurisdiction. A research use declaration does not override an import restriction and we will not pretend otherwise.

Where we decline an order, we do not always explain why.

Regulated items

Some compounds are subject to specific controls in the United Kingdom and elsewhere. Where that applies to an item in this catalogue, the product page says so directly. If you are ordering from outside the UK, the responsibility for checking your own position sits with you.

Labelling and packaging

Every vial carries a research use only statement and its batch reference. The outer packaging is opaque and unbranded. That is a privacy measure for the customer rather than an attempt to disguise the contents, which are correctly described on every document travelling with the parcel.

Raising a concern

If you have a concern about a product, a batch or an order, contact us with the batch reference and we will respond within one working day. If you have a concern about how these products are being used or advertised anywhere, we want to hear about that too.

Anything we have not covered?

Drop us a message with the compound or batch number and a real person will get back to you.
